you may have to turn up your speakers; some of the audio is pretty quiet.
the twits are following all the textbook twin milestones. at four, they were saying “he’s spazmonkey.” “no, i’m not; he is.” “nuh-uh, HE is!” at nearly five, they’ve started in on the “i didn’t do it; HE did it!” i fully understand why their great-grandpa beat both their grandpa AND their grandpa’s twin brother… without even bothering to ask which of them did it.
i’d call the three older boys geniuses. evilgremlin started talking at 8 months, had a vocabulary of around 50 words by a year, was speaking in two-word sentences by 18 months, and could explain square and cube roots of numbers, with 3D visual aids, in kindergarten. the twins were walking by 11 months, singing complex pieces of music by 18 months, and creating fabulous lego vehicles by age 2-1/2.
then there’s monkeybeef. at 14 months, he’s learned his third word, “go.” and he… uhhh… might get around to walking one of these days. possibly even holding his own bottle. he is amused by fart noises. and balls. and other things that roll across the floor. but hey, sorority girls have known for years that it’s cool to be stoopid as long as you’re pretty!
like their daddy, the twins are fully capable of locomotion and basic word formation long before their brains are actually awake. the words formed may have nothing to do with the topic at hand. witness spezmonkey.
and, finally… ticklish babies are funny.
